Seoul

Disclaimer (this is not a part of the poem. Or maybe it is) I don’t like this at all because it feels like a cliché and reads like the kind of shitty tumblr poetry that I would normally disregard. But I woke up in a hotel room in Seoul (hence the title) with these four lines scrawled onto a notebook beside the bed and I have absolutely no recollection of writing them so maybe there’s enough poetry in accidental sleep-composition for this to constitute a meaningful stanza. I don’t know. Anything’s a poem if you tilt your head right. The human body. Lego instructions. Sadness following you to South Korea and waking you in the night
